Privacy Policy for GamePulse

This Privacy Policy describes how GamePulse ("we", "our", or "us") handles information in connection with your use of the GamePulse mobile application (the "App").

1. Information We Collect

Information Stored Locally on Your Device

GamePulse stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Game names and associated image URLs you add to the App
• Reminder configurations, including titles, schedules, and milestone progress
• App settings and preferences, including quiet time windows and notification preferences

This data is stored using Hive, a local database that resides entirely on your device. It is not transmitted to our servers or any third party.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit:

• Your name, email address, or any personal contact information
• Your location data
• Your device identifiers
• Usage analytics or behavioural data
• Any data from other apps on your device

2. Notifications

GamePulse uses your device's local notification system to deliver reminders at scheduled times. Notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device and do not require an internet connection or any data transmission.

To send notifications, the App requests the following Android permissions:

• POST_NOTIFICATIONS — to display reminder notifications
• SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM — to fire notifications at precise times
• RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — to reschedule notifications after your device restarts
• WAKE_LOCK — to briefly wake the CPU to deliver a scheduled notification

You can disable notifications at any time in your device's Settings → Apps → GamePulse → Notifications.

3. Firebase

GamePulse uses Firebase, a platform provided by Google LLC, for core app infrastructure. Firebase is initialised as part of the App but is used solely for app stability purposes. We do not use Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, or any Firebase service that collects personal data.

4. Third-Party Services

GamePulse does not integrate with any advertising networks, analytics platforms, or data brokers.

If you use the optional image URL feature to add a custom game icon, the App will load that image from the URL you provide. We have no control over the privacy practices of the server hosting that image.

5. Children's Privacy

GamePulse is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.

6. Data Security

Since all data is stored locally on your device, the security of your data is governed by your device's own security features (such as screen lock and device encryption). We recommend keeping your device's operating system up to date.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the App or on the App's Play Store listing. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
